Deer Management Philosophy

Goshen Outdoors LLC. conducts most of its hunting operations on the Goshen Valley Wildlife and Timber Preserve. The information below is presented as a glimpse into the rationale behind Goshen Outdoors LLC. hunting experience.
It is the management goal of Goshen Valley Preserves to provide the hunter and guestswith a successful, comfortable, rewarding and relaxing hunting adventure. The very limited hunting pressure allows the bucks to grow to maturity, 5(+) years before harvest. Although younger deer are welcome to be taken at the hunters’ discretion the opportunity to harvest a mature quality buck is not always possible on other properties. It is not uncommon for high fence operations to purchase young bucks in the spring from deer farms for that fall hunt. Although these deer may have wonderful trophies the deer itself is young and not fully developed noir have the trophies reached their full size. By raising the deer from birth within the preserve the deer is allowed to mature and reach its full trophy protentional. The buck has time to develop its naturel survival instincts without constant contact with humans. As older deer they are very cautious, making for a more challenging and in the end a more rewarding hunt.
The traditional method of purchasing a high fence deer hunt is to pay by the size of the harvested trophy. This method can lead to hunters not focusing on hunting but distracting them with the nagging question of; “Can I afford that deer!” prior to any shot. The hunter can be surprised at the unprogrammed cost of his/her trophy at the conclusion of the hunt. Goshen Outdoors LLC. does not believe the hunter should have to pass up a trophy of a lifetime for fear of its possible cost. We operate on a flat fixed fee at a reasonable price. The hunter can take any deer that presents itself. Now the hunter can sit back and enjoy the hunt and thrill of knowing that every buck is available and in his/her price range.
